The 8CH-HUB-RS485 is a high capacity active signal repeater and splitter that converts a standard daisy-chain network into a very resilient 1-to-8 star topology. The optical isolation on all downlink ports is 2500V, so a short circuit or fault on one slave branch will never take down the whole SCADA bus.

The Valtoris 8CH-HUB-RS485 is a rugged, industrial-grade 8-Port Isolated RS485 Hub. Engineered to overcome standard RS485 distance limitations and node capacity constraints, it actively repeats and expands your serial network up to an additional 1200 meters per branch. It provides unmatched reliability, surge protection and ground loop elimination for mission critical automation networks by physically isolating each of the 8 downlink channels.
