💡 High-Density & Compact Form Factor

The 8CH-RS485-ETH provides 8 independent RS485 channels within an ultra-compact DIN-rail enclosure (only 37mm × 83mm × 89mm). It is engineered to drastically reduce footprint in space-constrained industrial control panels.

Product Overview

Valtoris 8CH-RS485-ETH is a high performance 8 channel RS485 to Ethernet converter. It is built for high-volume data acquisition and allows zero-data-loss, bi-directional transmission between your LAN and multiple legacy serial instruments. It acts as a stand-alone protocol bridge, easily handling Modbus RTU to TCP conversion and native MQTT JSON encapsulation for modern IoT cloud dashboarding.

Quick Specs & Capabilities

  • Hardware Interfaces: 8 independent RS485 ports bridging to a standard 10/100M Ethernet connection.
  • Edge IoT Protocols: Built-in Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP gateway functionality and automated MQTT payload encapsulation.
  • Network Modes: Each of the 8 serial channels can be individually configured for TCP Server, TCP Client, or UDP operation.
  • Extreme Durability: Flame-retardant alloy plastic shell with ±15KV ESD protection and a certified -40°C to 85°C operating range.
  • Power Input: DC 9~24V wide voltage operation via industrial screw terminals.
