The Valtoris VT-SW3EC is a pure hardware 3-Port Industrial EtherCAT Switch. It functions as a very reliable network junction. With one input and two output ports, it enables control engineers to branch standard linear EtherCAT networks into efficient tree or star topologies, greatly simplifying complex machine wiring.
The VT-SW3EC is no normal, dumb Ethernet switch, but comes with an integrated EtherCAT slave controller. It processes Ethernet frames in real-time with nanosecond latencies and provides full support of Distributed Clocks (DC). This ensures the precise synchronization needed between PLCs and servo drives in advanced automation systems.
